MSP432E401Y: Update Simplelink from 4.10.00.13 to 4.20.00.12

Hello forum,

we have a project with a MSP432E401Y controller and want to upgrgade the compiler version from 20.2.0 to 20.2.7 and the simplelink version from 4.10.00.13 to 4.2.00.12. Changing the compiler was not a problem in CCS. Open properties and choose the new compiler in the three sub-projects.

I thought changing the version of the simplelink would work in the same way, but ist does'nt. I can change the new Simplelink Folder and it also changee in the property windows. But when I open the properties again, then the old version is shown.

So I decided to uninstall the old version of simplelink But this does not help. Now I cannot compile the projects.

How can I change the version of simplelink?

Hi,

Sorry, I'm currently out of office until Wednesday with no access to CCS. If I remember correctly there is a tab for XDCtool and under it you can update the simplelink version. I can show the details when I get back on Thursday. Sorry for the delayed response.

Hi,

Please select 'General' for the CCS project. Under General, you will see the 'Products' tab. You can do an 'Add' to add SimpleLink MSP432E SDK for version 4.2.00.12 and then click 'Apply and Close'. You can

Thanks for your answer, it worked as described above!

I've solved it in antother way and installed the newest version of CCS (12.3) and the new 4.20 simplelink version.
