Hello,

I got error message when I run QSPI example program.

Board: PROC101C

SDK: mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_08_05_00_24

Project: /ospi_flash_diag_am243x-evm

Firstly, this does not seem like TI-EVM. This looks a custom board.

Secondly, it seems like something is very wrong with this hardware.
Can you share more details on the flash part used and can you share the schematics ?

It is official EVM TMDS243EVM and code is PROC101C. I think the board can boot from OSPI, seem that there is no hardware problem.

What is Dev Boot Mode? I follow the step in AM243x MCU+ SDK: EVM Setup (ti.com) and flash the SOC Initialization Binary. Then boot from OSPI. In CCS, connect to target, load example program and run. Is there something wrong?

Hi Jie Ming,

if you followed the steps correctly then this shouldn't be a hardware issue and the problem then lies somewhere else. In any case, I will take a look at the supported flash on the OSPI diagnostic example and get back to you by tomorrow with steps to follow. have you tried running any other of the OSPI examples by chance?

Hi Daniel,

I try ospi_flash_io_am243x-evm example. This example failed too.

Another info:

I switch to LP-AM243 board, ospi_flash_diag and ospi_flash_io example is OK.

But there is another problem :(

Hi Jie Ming,

We ran some test and concluded that there might be an issue with how the SBL_NULL configures the OSPI controller after the SBL execution, causing it to fail. I will get in contact with SW support and continue looking into this. I will update as soon as I have more information on this problem by Tuesday the latest.

Hi Jie Ming,

Thanks for your patience, it looks like the issue stems from the SBL not configuring the device correctly for OSPI boot, we are planning to address this in future releases. SD boot and DEV Boot seem to be working fine and giving passes on the ospi_diag test. you can use these to proceed in the meantime. Please let me know if there is anything else I can help with.
