AM2432: Disable UART Boot

Hi Team,

My customer is interested in disabling UART boot for the AM2432 for security reasons--they would like to disable bootmodes that are not planned for use in the field.

Is there any way for them to disable the UART boot mode?

Additionally, where does the UART boot mode write data to in memory?

Hi Ryan T,

Unfortunately there is no way to disable the UART boot mode. You can choose your primary boot and secondary boot mode to be any boot mode other than UART boot mode and put your device in HS-SE mode.

Even with this the device cannot be ensured with hardware tampering and fall to UART Boot mode but due to HS-SE device mode, the device can be ensured to not allow any unauthorized UART Data to run on the device.
