Can a GPIO input pin of CC2640R2F with VDDS=1.8V work with 3.3V input signals?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC2640R2F

Hi,

I have a CC2640R2F working with 1.8V power supply, does this CC2640R2F input pins have 3.3.V input tolerance? If I applied a 3.3V input to its input pin, can it read the input logic properly and the CC2640R2F will not be damaged?

Thanks,

Michael Wang

  • Hi Michael,

If VDDSx is 1.8V then a 3.3V input to the pins associated with that supply would exceed the absolute maximum rating of the pins as specified in the datasheet.

If you do need to have I/O at different voltages, then you can supply those voltages as per section 9.11 of the datasheet:

    Thanks,
