I work on a AM2432 device with HSR/PRP firmware stack.

I am interested to know if there is a wolkthrough documentation to find the best configuration for minimum power consumption.

Actually our board is powered at 24 V and it consumes 40 mA just at bootloader stage.

As soon as the DDR is initialized it jumps to 70 mA and then when PHYs are clocked it reaches 90 mA.

I tried to reduce R5 cores frequency to 100 Mhz but I have just reduced current 10 mA less.

Hello Andrea,

TI provides an AM243x/AM64x Power Estimation Tool (PET) (linked below) that can be used to determine optimum power consumption configurations based on the system use-case. We don't have a designated low-power design guideline but are working to see if something similar can be provided at a future date.

Would it be possible for you to provide a schematic of the current power distribution network? We may be able to provide some suggestions to improve overall system power consumption.

yes, sure, I found that power consumption estimated with your tool is very similar as the one we measured on our board.
