MSPM0G3507: BLANKVERIFY Operation not work on address 0x17D08

Hello,

I've a problem regarding BLANKVERIFY operation in MSPM0 controller.

Data is written from address 0xD000 until 0x17FFF with the value 0xFF.
The BLANKVERIFY operation works fine for every address before and after 0x17D08. Only on address 0x17D08 the register STATCMD shows that this address is erased instead of not erased.

Status of STATCMD register on addresses before and after 0x17D08: STATCMD = 0x00000021
Status of STATCMD register on address 0x17D08: STATCMD = 0x00000003

I know that the value for erased memory is 0xFF, but using the BLANKVERIFY operation I can detect if the memory is really erased or just written with the value 0xFF.

As mentioned above, this check operation not work for address 0x17D08.

Please, can you help me? Why is it not working for this specific address?

Hi Yuhao,

I'm not using any SDK. I'm using my own implementation of BlankVerify according to the datasheet description of MSPM0 (it's confidential, from TI).

Hi Felix,

I tried to use the SDK to test. And you are right. Only address 0x17D08 is different.

It seems strange.

Hi Felix,

Sorry but I am afraid the BLANKVERIFY cannot distinguish between being freshly erased or programmed to 0xFFFFFFFF. We have checked the system, and it looks that the behavior is expected from design. So BLANKVERIFY cannot meet your needs. Maybe you can achieve it in your application code.

Here is what I tested:

First I tested early samples. The result was same as yours.
Then I tested production samples. All the address is STATCMD = 0x00000003. It means that BLANKVERIFY returns PASS.
