Reset safety mechanism RST6/RST7/RST8 differs in safety manual and FMEDA sheet.

    HI,

    Thanks for your feedback on the mismatch between the FMEDA and SM. We are aware of the inconsistency.

    The RST6 External Watchdog is redundant with CLK5C External Watchdog so we chose to renumber the IDs for Reset so that  RST6 becomes Periodic Software Readback of Static Configuration Registers and RST8 & 9 are updated to RST7 and 8. Unfortunately, this change was missed in the FMEDA list of diagnostics. To work around this, simply disable RST6 and insure CLK5C is enabled and then enable/disable RST7-9 per your application needs. This will insure your FIT rate calculations are correct and align with the safety manual.
