When a SPI port is configured for TX on both D0 and D1, is it possible to output data to D0 and D1 at the same time, using the same SCK signal? Or can you only write to a single channel at once? I would like to be able to use a single SPI port to write two data words simultaneously.

According to the AM243x TRM, both D0 and D1 can be set to the transmit mode:
Therefore, you can send the same data (there is only one shift register in MCSPI Block Diagram) to both D0 and D1 at the same time.
