Hi,

We found the following message on TI Store for MSP432E401Y.

[Question1]

Could you tell us the background of the MSP432E4 series reaching the above status?

[Question2]

Are there any future plans for NRND or EOL for the MSP432E4 series?

[Question3]

Will there be continued E2E support for the MSP432E4 series?

[Question4]

Alternatives to the MSP432E4 series are the Tiva series (such as the TM4C1294KCPDT). Are there any plans for these to have the same status as the MSP432E4?

Thanks,

Conor

  • Hi Conor,

Could you tell us the background of the MSP432E4 series reaching the above status?

Texas Instruments has determined that the MSP432E product line should be moved to limited design support.

This MSP432E product line continues to be in production. If available, you will find relevant collateral, software and tools in the product page.

Please consider MCUs in a similar class of products in TI’s Embedded portfolio, such as TM4C129, AM243x, or other MCUs.

Are there any future plans for NRND or EOL for the MSP432E4 series?

No, there is no plan for NRND or EOL.

Will there be continued E2E support for the MSP432E4 series?

Yes, but limited as stated on the product page.

Alternatives to the MSP432E4 series are the Tiva series (such as the TM4C1294KCPDT). Are there any plans for these to have the same status as the MSP432E4?

No, as answered in Q1, TI would like customers to consider TM4C129 as an alternative.
