Hii,

I'm using AM263x microcontroller in my project where I started to work on Wdg module.

As per my understanding from Reference manual regarding Wdg functionality , Wdg module can't be disabled by application once it's enabled due to the "Functional Safety"

Do we have any methods to disable Wdg module ? or could you tell me the intention of this feature ?

We have actually come across this earlier and No, at the moment there is no way to stop the watchdog once is enabled. I have already checked with my HW team and they suggest this can't be done. This feature basically hinders you from using the Vector's WDG Manager's WDG_OFF mode API (I guess this is where the request is coming from).

Hii kowshik,

On general , these kind of features are implemented in order to satisfy the ASIL levels.

I would suspect that this is because of functional safety.
