I would like to inquire about the process of connecting the TM4C123GH6PM microcontroller and the WL1831 Wi-Fi and Bluetooth transceiver. Specifically, I am interested in knowing if there is an application circuit available that demonstrates the proper connection and interaction between these two components. Having an application circuit would greatly assist in ensuring a successful integration of the microcontroller and the transceiver in our project. Your guidance or any available resources in this regard would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

There is no reference design that I'm aware using TM4C123 as the host processor to WL1831. I will forward your question to the WL1831 experts so they provide additional information.

Hi,

There is no application circuit available for this specific integration. Mostly TI recommends that customers start with our WL18xx EVM, called the WL1835MODCOM8B. This can be interfaced to the BeagleBone Black with the WL18XXCOM82SDMMC adapter.

my objective is interaction between TM4C123GH6PM and WL1831.do it require BeagleBone Black with the WL18XXCOM82SDMMC adapter.

Hi,

You do not need the BeagleBone Black or WL18xxCOM82DMMC adapter if you want to work with the TM4C123GH6PM. I was just showing you our reference design and EVM so you may use it as reference for your integration.

I would be grateful if you could provide an application circuit or reference circuit on how to interface a microcontroller with the WL1831 module, as this would also provide me information on UART connection and SDIO connection

Hi,

The reference circuits I have already provided you is what we have. We don't have any applications with an MCU, only MPU's, but the references I gave you should be enough. Using the WL1835MODCOM8B as a reference will be sufficient, it will be the same application with a MCU. For this EVM, there is a user's guide which shows the schematic, WL1835MOD COM 8 board user's guide.
