EK-TM4C129EXL: Peripheral Freeze During Debug

Hi,

For the TM4C series in general, is there information on how peripherals behave when the device is stopped by the debugger manually or on a breakpoint? I know that some (e.g. timer in PWM mode and SSI DMA) continue, but am not sure if this means they all would. Also, is there a means to enable/disable such behaviour?

Hi Matthew,

For other MCUs (e.g. TMS570 ) that I'm familiar with, there is a continue-on-suspend bit that can be set for each peripheral. User can continue the peripheral operations, e.g. timer counting during debug mode or suspend during debug mode. For TM4C, peripherals will continue to run during debug mode although the processor is halted.
