Hi,

Can AM243x support 2 x SD I/F ?

I found the following descriptions in the data sheet. We cannot use the MMCSD0 as SD I/F ?

Media and data storage:

2× MultiMedia Card/Secure Digital (MMCSD) interfaces

– One 8-bit for eMMC (MMCSD0)

– One 4-bit for SD/SDIO (MMCSD1)

– Integrated analog switch for voltage switching

between 3.3V to 1.8V for high-speed cards

Hi Hideaki Matsumoto,

If you have a 17x17 package with 441-pin i.e. AM243x-ALV then eMMC and SD simultaneously will be doable. For AM243x-ALX package i.e. 11x11 with 293-pin the eMMC interface is not supported.

But if your question is instead of eMMC, using it as SD interface then..

As mentioned in the TRM, the MMCSD0 Host Controller does not support SDCard or SDIO interface.

Hi Aakash,

Yes, the customer needs two SD card I/Fs, not eMMC. Unfortunate, but understood that the MMCSD0 does not support SD I/F.
