LP-MSPM0G3507: Cannot read data using CP2112 kit

I want to test SMBus using the LP-MSPM0G3507 and the CP2112EK. I connected the SDA, SCL and GND pins between both boards. I trigger read/write request from the CP2112EK, but cannot see any interrupt coming to the LP-MSPM0G3507. The program running on the LP-MSPM0G3507 is sample smbus_target project. Any idea what I may be missing here?

Hi Ramzi,

Since the CP2112EK is not a TI LP, the program you're using may not work. There are some debugging checks you can try and see if it solves your issue:

Add a 10K pull-up resistor to the SDA and SCL pins
Make sure to connect and disconnect the right jumpers from your LP-MSPM0G, as indicated in the smbus_target example.
Try to make the code on the CP2112EK resemble the code of the smbus_controller with their respective CP211EK modifications so your LP with the smbus_target will work properly.

Additionally, the Errata for the MSPM0G will be released in the near future.

The CP2112EK has internal 4.7 K pull-up resistors.
Regarding the jumpers on the LP-MSPM0G board, the example says we should change J21 and J22 to be on 2:3. But I didn't find those jumpers on the board I have. The jumpers I see are J25 and J26 as shown in attached. Is this correct?
