I am using a TMS570LS0714 microcontroller with a 22 MHz oscillator. I am trying to use the rtiBlinky example in HalCoGen. In HalCoGen, I have set the oscillator frequency to 22 MHz, but the period of the blinking light is 48x too slow. What could be the problem?

Hi Stefan,

The main oscillator frequency should not be more than 20Mhz for TMS570LC0714 device.

Please refer datasheet once.

After changing the oscillator to 16 MHz, I am still having trouble. I have all of the clock settings in HalCoGen set to default. The only things I have done are enabling the GPIO to blink the LED, and setting the RTI1 Compare-0 Period to 100. Now, the Compare-0 interrupt comes every 1.75 seconds. It is closer than before, but still not right. Also, when trying to use I2C at 100 kHz, the measured frequency is 5.7 kHz. It seems like now, it is running 17.5x too slow...
