LP-AM243: Trouble getting started with SDK 08.06.00.45 (with secure chip) + CC3301

Hi,

I am trying to use LP-AM243 along with CC3301 (using BP-3301) wireless module.

While running the sample application from CC3301 plugin I am getting this below error -

DMSC Firmware Version 8.6.4--v08.06.04 (Chill Capybar

DMSC Firmware revision 0x8

DMSC ABI revision 3.1

Some tests have failed!!

This doesnot look like an error related to CC3301, rather related to AM243. I ma using a secure version of AM243 chip.

The SDK details are as follows:

1. mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_08_06_00_45

2. cc33xx_mcu_package_R1_3

Hi Santanu Mondal,

Please check for the device type ? Is this a GP device or a HS-FS device ? These are the two methods mentioned below.

To read the marking on the silicon - Refer 10.1.1 Standard Package Symbolization in datasheet

However it does not look like device type issue. You should re-flash the SBL-NULL and test if that is booting correctly for 08.06. If it does, then you should check the same with SBL-QSPI and flashing the Application image. If it fails, then the application image creation is a problem.

Hi Aakash,

I am the the FAE working with Santanu on this issue.
We were trying to debug it together last week.
The device he is using is clearly a HS device and he was running the secure SW.
So I guess the next step would be the re-flashing?

Hi Manuel,

Can you send me a log or screenshot of log of UART boot mode use this FAQ. I want to verify if the device is Field Secure or Security Enabled.

Also can you share the programming failure that you are seeing ?

I have captured the log and also followed the steps in UART boot mode use this FAQ. Here is the screenshot and the logfile.

The final programmable images look perfect can you send over the screenshot of the failure you are seeing during Flashing ?

Hi Aakash Kedia,

I flashed the board with sbl_null.release.hs_fs.tiimage flashed first ad it worked. Then I flahed sbl image and the appimage with flashed *.appimage.hs_fs extension and now it is booting into application. I am getting another erro but I think it is related to application. This link helped me (AM243x MCU+ SDK: HS FS Migration Guide)
