TMDXRM57LHDK: Could you help to suggest the reason for the Error Pop-up?

Part Number: TMDXRM57LHDK

Hello,

When we use TMDXRM57LHDK, an error pop-up window appears as shown below.

Please help analyze the reason.

thanks,

Gloria

  • Hi Gloria,

What is the status of the below Highlighted LED's?

After connecting 12V power supply all the 4 LED's on the right side of the board should lit.

And after connecting debugger cable to the PC then D12 LED should lit.

Please update the status of these LED's.

  • HI Jagadish,

After connecting 12V power supply, there were only 2 LED's on the right side of the board lit.

And after connecting debugger cable to the PC then D12 LED lit.

Please check the below photo of the board.

    Thanks,

    Gloria

  • Hi Gloria,

As you can see in the below pic

These two power supplies are directly connected to the controller right, so due to the damage of controller these two supplies can be shorted with in the controller with GND pins.

So, to confirm the same you just need to remove the series 0.02 resistors and should need to verify the voltage or should need to remove the controller completely and need to verify the voltages of 3.3v and 1.2v.

If you are seeing the voltages after disconnecting the voltages with controller means the controller damaged, otherwise regulators might be damaged.

I am suspecting it should be controller and it might be damaged due to the ESD.

  • Hi Jagadish,

Thanks for  your reply and we will test it according to your suggest.

  • Hi Jagadish,

We tested all the J4 pins and determined that R291 should be shorted. Please help determine if this is a defect in the part itself or damage caused by our use.

    Looking for ward your reply.

    Thanks,

    Gloria

  • Hi Gloria,

We tested all the J4 pins and determined that R291 should be shorted.

Yes, to get 1.2v from U35 regulator R291 should be shorted and R293 should be open.

Please help determine if this is a defect in the part itself or damage caused by our use.

I am not sure how this happens. What is the state of R291 before you shorted? Is that 0 ohm resistor damaged and got open circuit or do you get the HDK board without any 0 ohm resistor on R291?
