MSPM0L1306: IAR programmer with WDT active

Hello,

I have a customer who's enabled the WDT on MSPM0L and he's finding that once the device is programmed and the watchdog is enabled he's unable to reconnect via the debugger using IAR. In order to successfully reprogram in IAR customer had to use DSSM reset to wipe the chip.

WDT interval is in the range of 20-40 mS.

Do we know if IAR disables the watchdog before programming? Or is this a known issue?

we can reproduce this issue.

we think this issue may be not related with WDT . this issue may be related with "Debugging in Low Power Modes"

Please check on known_issues_FAQ.html .../mspm0_sdk_1_00_01_03/docs/english/known_issues_faq/known_issues_faq_mspm0_sdk_1_00_01_03.html Addendum A - Debugging in Low Power Modes

Please check if there is low power mode on the code.

on IAR, remove the low power mode

or debug on CCS

Hi Xiaodong,

I don't think the customer is using low power mode in their application would there be anything else that could cause programming/ connection issues?

We used the example code w/o low power mode. there is no "unable to reconnect" issue on IAR

Could you please request customer check if there is the similar issue on CCS platform?

On the other hand, could you please send the customer code to me for test?
