AM2434: How to check device pinmux meets customer's requirements

Part Number: AM2434
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi,

My customer wants to use both DDR and GPMC on AM243x ALV packages.
There are many other functions are muxed on GPMC pins.
They want to make sure they can use GPMC without blocking other required functions (serial port, OSPI, ethernet, etc.).

I thought sysconfig tool can be used for such purpose, but as far as I checked there is no GPMC features selectable in sysconfig.
How to check if GPMC can be used for other peripherals?

Thanks and regards,
Koichiro Tashiro

  • Hello,

Could you please show me how you are opening the design in Sysconfig? GPMC does not show up as an available IP if you select a Software Product when starting a new design. Can you please try the following:

Select AM243x_ALV as a Device and intentionally leave the Software Product blank, then launch your design

This way you should be able to see GMC in the list of peripherals. if you add GPMC and DDR then I believe you would be able to find the conflicting pins if any.

Please let me know if this helps or if you run into other issues.

    Best,

    Daniel

  • Hi Daniel,

    I selected Software Product.
Now I leave it blank and it works for me!

    Thanks and regards,
