LP-MSPM0G3507: BLDC Motor Documentation Not Accurate and GUI Not Connecting

Part Number: LP-MSPM0G3507
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DRV8323,

Dear Support:

I am following the documentation in SDK v1.10.00.05 for the Sensorless_FOC_Motor_Control_User_Guide which references the DRV8323RS Hardware User Guide and Step 1 of the Hardware Setup refers to removing a J3 jumper.  This is incorrect - there is no J3 jumper, but instead a J18 jumper - so I assume this is just a documentation error.

It was my understanding that in order to use this BLDC motor example I had to have the latest LP-MSPM0G3507 and SDK v1 or greater which I have.  However in the Hardware Setup documentation of this SDK, there is a picture of the DRV8323 mounted on top of the LP-MSPM0G3507, but the LP is the older version (Rev 1.0) and not the latest version (Rev A).  So to run this example using SDK V1.10, which version of the LP-MSPM0G3507 do I need?

In addition, I was able to build this example in the SDK and download to my LP with no issues and run.  I don't seen anything on the console output however I assume this is expected.  When trying to bring-up the GUI to connect and control the motor, I was not able to connect.  Below is what I see from bringing the GUI up and trying to connect:

Notice at the bottom of this screen there is this wording:

Error: Failed to connect: CS_DAP_0: Error initializing emulator: (Error -260 @ 0x0)

Too many things not looking good here.  Any idea as to what is the problem?  Possibly I am using the wrong LP?  If not, any ideas as to what may be the problem?

Thanks,
Tim
