TMDS243EVM: clock buffer for PHY

The EVM shows additional clock buffer circuits for the PHYs. Customer does not see the need for additional clock buffers because the AM2432 has the clock outputs on A18 and V13 (ALX package) which can be used as 25MHz Clock for the PHYs. Can you please confirm?

    Hi Andreas, 

    One use-case of the CLKOUT0 (A18 and V13) is for exactly this purpose. Additionally the DP83869 PHY include a CLK_OUT (Pin 40) which can be used to cascade this single reference clock to a second PHY. So a single clock output should be sufficient to clock both PHY. 

    However, TI has not fully validated this function of the AM243x. We have some initial output clock quality testing that shows it should work, but we have not built out this particular clock tree completely with attached PHY.
