Problem: With the Browser loaded with the Out of Box Example (OOBE), the example fails to connect with the development board.

Hello:

These are the steps I used when attempting to make the browser-based OOBE GUI example connect with the dev board.

  • Connected the board to the USB port of my computer.
  • Navigated to the OOBE URL.
  • Clicked on the link icon, located on the lower-left corner of the browser window, to create a connection, but the response was "Error Loading Program for MSPM0L1306 Device Failed: Missing Extension."

Steps I took in trying to diagnose and fix the problem.

  • Ran the Device Manager, then inspected the properties for the XDS110 Class Application/User UART device, and then adjusted the serial communication settings to match the requirements. See attached image.
  • From the Main Menu of the browser, clicked on File, then selected Load Program, but received the following error message: Load Program Failed: Loading Program for MSPM0L1306 Device Failed: Missing Extension." See attached image.
  • From the Main Menu of the browser, clicked on Options, then selected Serial Port Settings..., but no resulting action occurred.
  • Ran a serial communications console (Putty), and then I was able to connect with the dev board. When I pressed S2, messages were sent to the console which were received by the console. See attached image.

What can I do to create the connection so this OOBE will work?
