MSPM0L1306: Issues using XDS debugger with IAR

Dear Apps experts,

I one of my customers has an issue using MSPM0L with XDS110 debugger in IAR.

To give you an overview of the issue:

The customer has the:

mspm0_sdk_1_10_00_05

and used the

guide to run MSPM0 using IAR.

He just installed the required drivers and the TIXDS

I managed to help him setting the environment paths

But now he has the following problem using the XDS emulator:

Updating the XDS works and can run the following commands:

xdsdfu.exe -m

-xdsdfu.exe -f firmware_3.0.0.26.bin -r

I also pointed the customer to the following manual:

XDS110 Debug Probe (ti.com)

Is there anything I am missing and that could cause this issue ?

Hello Alex,

Sorry for the delay. Unfortunately, I'm not sure what is causing that error. It says the Target indicates the error, which actually means the MCU. Based on that, I'd guess the connection between the PC and the XDS is probably okay.

What hardware are they using? Is it a launchpad or something else?

Have they programmed the board before?

I feel like I have seen a similar error once when I was playing around with the Debug security settings in NONMAIN so maybe we should see if it's possible to issue a factory reset.

I don't see a way to factory reset in IAR, but the software team recently made a standalone GUI. It's still in it's early beta stage, but I might try it out: https://dev.ti.com/gallery/view/TIMSPGC/DSSM_Unlock/ver/0.0.2/

The default password should be 0xFFFFFFFF in all four locations.

HI JD,

Actually we tried to fix the customers issues. However, it is not possible to fix it yet. The customer reinstalled all his software components.

1/4 boards is working now.

All the other boards do not connect to the prementioned tool.

Is there any way to get these boards running?
