AM2434: SYSCONFIG: Unable to modify m4 sysconfig

is this an expected behavior, meaning when M4 is launched, it launches the R5 and M4 goes to the other tab?

For a system it is an expected behaviour, but i am still not able to understand what you meant by it becomes big? COuld you share some screen shots

It will stay like that for mins (2-5), I am not sure if its  big or what  but it isn't instantaneous.

Could you try opening a empty m4 project syscfg and see if issue exists?

The issue don't exist when running an empty project.

Just so we're able to progress faster, if you can answer yes or no so it's clearer on both side, it will be great and appreciated.

1/ With 2 projects (M4/R5) with each having it's own sysconfig file, is this possible? (yes/no)

ex: M4- m4.sysconfig / R5 - R5.sysconfig

2/ When launching m4.sysconfig, is this an issue if INSTEAD r5.sysconfig is launched and m4.sysconfig is accessible as tab of the r5.sysconfig (yes/no)

3/ When launching either m4.sysconfig or r5.sysconfig, it takes a few mins and most cases will show this. (should it take few mins to launched (yes/no) what could potentially cause the exception in the screenshot.

4/ When editing m4.sysconfig ex: gpio direction drop down Input/output -> selecting either will not take effect, if previously input, remains input and vice versa (is this a sysconfig issue? yes/no)

5/ Any reccommendation ?

Could you please clarif if you are using a system project(which R5 and M4 projects as subset) or using individual R5 and M4 core projects.

Yes, its possible if you have two separate projects

This also not a expected behavior. Could you tell me steps to reproduce it on my end.

Steps to reproduce:

Please create project in each M4 and R5 and add this components.

In M4:

in R5:

Try to open M4 syscponfig and you can see it is launching r5, at least in my case.

Could you please elaborate more on this, are you creating project in ccs or importing project. If you are importing project, is it a system project or individual project?

I was hoping you could just try both since it doesn't take much time to do for each so we can save time.  If you do create one and it works for you, it would point to our project.

Can you try creating individual and system and let me know me how it will turn out at your end?

I already tried importing projects with these combinations and I am not facing any issue:

1. Hello world m4 project

2. Hello world r5f project

3. IPC system project( Both R5f and M4 project)

All are working fine on my end, that is the reason I was asking you whether you are creating the project or importing the projects:

Did you configure 78 GPIOs in R5?

or can you also send screenshot of the R5 sysconfig?

So I checked the thread and I can confirm it is the same problem that Jacob were having back then. I am using his sysconfig file so it was already locked as per your recommendation, that is the R5.

The problem in M4 is not really addressed in this ticket, but I can see that it was the original issue that Jacob raised for R5 where he is NOT able to change any new parameter from GUI. He was able to change via notepad++, but If I do that on M4, it  breaks R5 and will not be usable.

We have this problem as a known issue in syscfg. Let me get back with a update on this by Wednesday next week.
