AM2431: Problem with compiling the example provided by TI

Hello,

I have tried to compile the example example project "hello_world_am243x-lp_r5fss0-0_freertos_ti-arm-clang" and I get the following error messages:

I tried the latest version 9_00_00_35 of the SDK, and the problem still remains, but compiling with gmake seems to work, as suggested.

Actually, when I tried to compile SDK with gmake it have seemed to be working, by issuing commands

cd ${SDK_INSTALL_PATH}

gmake -s libs PROFILE=release

However when I tried to compile the examples by issuing the commands

cd ${SDK_INSTALL_PATH}
gmake -s examples PROFILE=release
I got the following error

This issue will be resolved by setting up your environment properly

please install open ssl:software-dl.ti.com/.../SDK_DOWNLOAD_PAGE.html

Thanks, problem was that I for some reason prior to compiling the example needed to compile the library once again.

Hello, one more question-how can gmake be used to compile PRU-based examples, i.e., how to work with PRU examples without CCS.

I have issued the following command prompt line command

gmake -s -C c:\ti\mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_09_00_00_35\examples\pru_io\empty\firmware\am243x-lp\icssg0-pru0_fw\ti-pru-cgt\ all PROFILE=release

and got the following response

c:\ti\mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_09_00_00_35>gmake -s -C c:\ti\mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_09_00_00_35\examples\pru_io\empty\firmware\am243x-lp\icssg0-pru0_fw\ti-pru-cgt\ all PROFILE=release
gmake: *** No rule to make target `/examples/pru_io/empty/firmware/main.asm', needed by `main.obj'. Stop.

Please try to build the example using:

gmake -C C:/ti/mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_09_00_00_35/examples/pru_io/empty/firmware/am243x-evm/icssg0-pru0_fw/ti-pru-cgt -f makefile -k all MCU_PLUS_SDK_PATH=C:/ti/mcu_plus_sdk_am243x_09_00_00_35

I checked the makefile and it requires MCU_PLUS_SDK_PATH to be given explicitly during make call. If you want, you can update this in makefile itself.

The program starts compiling but there is an issue in the makefile with -- o option resulting in the following error log

I am also facing the same issue,

makefile_ccs_bootimage_gen:76: recipe for target 'all' failed

gmake[3]: *** [all] Error 2

makefile:167: recipe for target 'post-build' failed

Can you please share the procedure to resolve the error.

Please follow below to resolve the issue:

Make sure you have installed all the tools mentioned in docs, Also the correct version.

Post build error are associated with open ssl being not installed/incorrect version installed

All the tools are installed as mentioned in the link.

Where can i get the info of correct supported versioning of tools. I have installed the latest version of CCS , openssl & SDK (mcu_plus_sdk_am64x_09_00_00_30)
