Hi experts,

I am using TMDS243EVM with MCU+SDK 09.00.00.35. To become acquainted with DDR RAM configuration in the web app (https://dev.ti.com/sysconfig/), I would like to start with a design that is suitable for the eval board. However, in AM243+SDK l find only the board_ddrReginit.h file, which is not quite human-readable and is not loadable to the sysconfig web app.

Could you provide me the sysconfig file that was used for the EVM configuration, so I can reproduce the header file and vary the design?

I will have to check and come back on the EVM configuration. Have you looked at the DDR examples and the configuration in AM243 SDK?

I'm not sure if I understand correctly here

The header file (board_ddrReginit.h) doesn't come from sysconfig files, instead it comes from the cslr.

Hi Sudeshna,

when I add a DDR RAM to my syscfg (inside CCS) and hit the question mark next to "DDR Configuration File", it says that I should visit https://dev.ti.com/sysconfig, configure my DDR, and get a new header file. I assume that TI were doing the same to get the TMDS243EVM to work. And I will have to do this soon for a new hardware.

I would like to have a syscfg file that I can upload to https://dev.ti.com/sysconfig and get a header for the TMDS243EVM. So I can try the workflow, change some settings, and see what happens.

Hi Alexander,

the default values that come up in the sysconfig tool are for the EVM. The board you reference has DDR4, so once you choose that, the parameters will be prepopulated for the EVM configuration. Then you can use the outputs the tool generates in your build.
