Hello,

I have a lot of parts where non main memory was reflashed more than one time

At some point there is no access possible to the part

I try the procedure described in 0726.Factory_reset_v2

instead of seeing the reset, it seems it can't connect to the part, then it stays stuck on this window

is there anything else I can do except changing the microcontroler?

How long does the factory reset takes? I wait for 1 minute with no change, could it take more time?

I trid BSL method, seems not to work either

Hi Thomas,

Do you know what was last written to NONMAIN? Do you know if BSL mode left enabled? If NONMAIN was erased and left that way, the device is probably locked.

The factory reset should not take a minute, it should be very quick.

Hello Brandon, it's correct, the BSL was disabled.

Is there any other tricks to unlock the parts?

It seems that it's not possible to connect to the part anymore

Hi Thomas,

If a device is fully locked unfortunately it has to be irreversible to meet application security requirements.

The DSSM Factory Reset (via SWD) is the best option if BSL was disabled. That's what the factory reset does. Beyond that no, there would be no other options to access the part. Not unless your application code is running and includes a bootloader in Flash.
