Hi Nilabh,

According to Kunbus's response:

1. Q) Does the stack support BOOTP service? We can change the device to the BOOTP mode by CT19.1 Message tool but can’t config the IP under BOOTP mode by BOOTP server. (See below figure)

   A) BOOTP is supported, but we can also see some issues. We will continue analyzing this and come back to you as soon as possible. We are going to work with this on our new coming sprint (starting next week).

Please ask Kunbus for these quetion in advanced:

Q) What are issues Kunbus sees in BOOTP?
Q) When these issues are expected to be fixed?

Hi Bo-Cheng, Received a response from Martin late evening yesterday:

we have identified an issue with the bootp functionality where the initial bootp request was sent out only once and not repeatedly. This resulted in a IP address assignment failure if the server missed the initial request. This has be corrected now that bootp request are repeated with intervals 4, 8, 16, 32, 60, 60, … seconds. We still have an issue when there is no valid IP address within 1 hour, but that we take as a know issue for now.

The BOOTP issue has confirmed solved at V9.0.7.
