AM2634: Is it possible to add drivers for custom boards in "SysConfig"?

Part Number: AM2634
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hello TI team,

We are using AM2634 in new product development with sysconfig 1.17 and MCU + SDK for AM263x 8.6.034]

I was wondering if there was a guide on how to add board drivers to SysConfig for a custom board.

Specially, I want to use custom phy(DP83822) to working EtherCAT.

Regards,

Donggu Kang

  • Hello Donggu,

May I know the requirement in detail so that we can support you on this? Even though it's possible for you to add drivers in sysconfig but it's not the recommended way to go with as sometimes it might get too tricky (which might go beyond guide's scope).

    Thanks and Regards,

  • Hi Sudeshna,

My requirement is to use the custom device driver for DP83822 as phy for EtherCAT. The Sysconfig doesn't not support DP83822 for EtherCAT.  As you can see in Fig. 1. I can select custom ETHPHY Device on Sysconfig. However, there are no guidelines or rules for implementing custom device drivers. For example I need the required structure name and function description of a custom driver for DP83822 for binding to Sysconfig generated code and how to connect the custom PHY driver to EtherCAT or PRU-ICSS. If you know of this type of document or web link, please let me know.
