TMDXRM57LHDK: Trouble Connecting RM57HDK with CCS via XDS110 setting

Part Number: TMDXRM57LHDK

Worked on an RM57 Launchpad board. Was able to connect to it in CCS via the XDS110 debugging USB connection. I am trying to setup a project on the RM57 HDK Hercules platform as well. I am also using the XDS connection as the included quick start pamphlet instructs to do. However, it is not able to connect. Is there any step by step documentation or guide on how to setup a successful RM57 HDK connection to download and debug with CCS latest? I am able to connect to the board in IAR via JLink but also need the CCS option for connecting as well. I'm plugging in a mini USB via the provided cable and a 5V source barrel plug for power to the board as well.

    Please clearly mention which board you are using?

    Launchpad and HDK are different boards with different on-board debuggers.

    HDK board will be in green color, and it has XDS100v2 on-board debugger:

    Launchpad board will be in red color, and it has XDS110 on-board debugger:

    So please give me proper details because in your problem description you are using both launchpad and HDK terms interchangeably.

    And you can just refer below video tutorial to understand step by step process for connection:

    In above tutorial they used HDK board, so that is the reason they selected connection type as XDS100v2.

    But, if your board is Launchpad then you have to select the connection type as XDS110.

    Hi Jagadish,

    I realize I wasn't as clear as I thought I was. This topic is in regards to the TMDXRM57:HDK. Disregard the mention of the Launchpad. I will give that Youtube video a look. I was going through other forum posts about this but they were all very old and dated and no longer relevant. If the YouTube video helps configure and setupo the debugging configuration instance in CCS for this board that will be perfect. Appreciate the clarification on the XDS100v2 option.
