We are Looking for the Microcontroller with following features to use in floor control switch in automotive application,

Integrated Power supply module to generate 5V from Input max of 28V,
CAN interface Transceiver and
LIN support

Request you kindly provide the suitable microcontroller for the above specifications.

Hello Murugesan,

Please check out our new MSPM0G series MCUs that can cover your automotive, CAN, and LIN needs. You will need some sort of power conditioning up front to support a 3.3V rail though.

Is CAN Transceiver & Power supply module integrated?

I don't see the CAN Transceiver integrated, We are looking for the CAN Transceiver integrated into the MCU. Can you please let us know such MCU's.

I'm not aware of a TI MCU that has transceiver integrated.

Can you please check with internal team and let us know.

We also requires Power supply module integrated into the MCU to generate 5V from maximum input of 28V.

This is mainly for use in Automotive application.

We are in the position to finalize MCU. So please provide the part ASAP.

Murugesan,

Let me rephrase, there is no TI MCU with integrated transceiver, and I'm not aware of MCUs from other vendors with integrated transceivers that are not custom or very application specific.

Most systems have transceivers separate than MCU to keep cost down among other reasons.

Ok, got it.

Then I will have option to keep the transceiver seperately also.

Tell me one last question, do we have a power supply module integrated into a microcontroller. If so please let me know.

Murugesan,

Power supply modules are not typically integrated into MCUs. MCUs maybe a power supply controller in an application, but have their own power requirements. Depending on the MCU, they would have a mix of integrated brown out, power on, and/or voltage supervisor circuits. Input voltage can vary, but typically are centered around 1.8V, 3.3V, and 5V systems. So you would need an additional power rail for the MCU and what it interacts with it.
