We have a defective XDS200 TMDSEMU200-U Debug probe Serail#TC55027, that we purchased earlier this year. We need to send it back for repair or replacement.
We have purchased a few of of these debug units here this year. We had our software team and our hardware team both confirm that this 1 debug unit isn’t working anymore.
Please let us know the process to take care of this.
Regards,
Matthew Clark
Matthew,
Can you provide more details on what isn't working on the debug probe? Have you followed the troubleshooting steps in the page below?
https://software-dl.ti.com/ccs/esd/documents/xdsdebugprobes/emu_xds200.html
Hi Gus,
Sorry but I don't I don't use the tool myself. We have multiple copies of this debugger at our location. We tested this debugger side by side with the same XDS200 debugging tools, using the same application tool, with 2 different groups in our lab(Hardware/Software) They both confirmed that this debugger tool is not communicating to the application tool and the other debuggers we have are communicating. I can try the troubleshooting steps you mentioned, but I don't think they would help in this case.
Before approving a return/replacement, we need to evaluate whether there is anything that can be done to "revive" the product.
Hi Gus,
I tired the troubleshooting steps but the device is not recognized by our PC.
Please see below.
As I mentioned before, we can’t even communicate with this probe.
Please evaluate my response and let us know what we can do to get this probe replaced?
Matthew,
You can apply for a return wherever you purchased your XDS200 and use this thread as confirmation for approval.
Hi Gus, Please explain how this process works? Do I apply for a return on this forum, on another area? do I need to get specific documentation? etc.
