AM2434: Could be two AM243x chips to communicate through OSPI normal?

Part Number: AM2434

Hi Experts,

Is it possible for two AM243x chips to communicate through OSPI normal? They do not want to use PCIE and PRU, and due to FSI pinmux conflict GPMC. So they want to use One Chip AM243x OSPI is master. another Chip AM243x OSPI is Slave, so could be two AM243x chips to communicate through OSPI normal? The communication speed can up to 80Mbp/s? Thanks.

  • Hi Shaoxing,

Not really. OSPI controller on TI SoCs support memory mapped IO interfaces, which provide a direct interface for accessing data from the external SPI flash, thereby simplifying software requirements. These controllers work only in master mode.
