TMDS243EVM: Concerned on a bad TDMS243EVM - LD22 red led lit on trying "SOC Initialization Using CCS Scripting" from AM243x MCU+ SDK

Hi Jim,

The behavior you're seeing is expected. There are no issues with the EVM or design.

1. This red light appeared on the EVM when these CCS windows results appeared:

The red light was appearing because the JTAG connection is established, and the CCS is communicating with the device.

2.the Lower left hand "Kool Koala" console did NOT complete resetting self-cluster.

No message will be sent after this self-core reset. Documentation contains the older log. We will update it in the next release.

3. that middle error window on DebugP_nirtos.c:57 0x0 has a questionable source file error with someone's workarea path still shown! (how did this get thru QC!!)'

On Hs-fs device the secure core was locked, and we use this sciclient ccs init application to load the sysfw and reset the cores. The script load_dmsc_hsfs.js uses this sciclient_ccs_init.out from tools/ccs_load/am243x to do the initilization. The file 'sciclient_ccs_init.out' contains the path used by the application during the build process.

We'll try to strip out the path contents from the file next time.

LD2 not glowing on the AM243x EVM is the expected behavior (a more detailed explanation can be found on the other linked thread) . If there is no issue with software/firmware and the LED not glowing was the only observable hardware issue, then this thread can be closed. Please let me know if you have any further questions.
