LP-XDS110: XDS110 SECTION ISSUE

Hi Suresh Kumar,

Please can you check our Trouble shooting section of the XDS110 debug probe guide found here and make sure you have updated the firmware and bootloader correctly, it is critical for the XDS to work.

I tried the link provided by you.

After firmware load, USB is not enumerated as XDS110 programmer.

The USB doesn't even enumerate any device until i load boot loader again through external XDS110.

i am facing the same issue. This is not solved.

I followed the same steps as per the link. Please find the screen shot below.

After this, no ports are updated in device manager as well as in terminal.

Again, i repeated loading bootloader to get enumerated in USB serial cmd terminal.

From the above link and the screen shot below. It is not clear that about MSP432E401Y chip option.

I have external XDS110 with MSP432E401Y and my on board programmer IC (which is used as XDS110 for programming CC2652P7) is also MSP432E401Y.

What should i do in my case?

Do we have different bootloader and firmware for MSP432E401Y chipset?

Hi Suresh,

There is not a different bootloader and firmware option for the MSP432E401Y chipset.  The E2E thread linked is referring to the Uniflash Bootloader mode.  You have mentioned flashing the bootloader but not provided any specific images or detailed the method by which you have accomplished this.  After flashing the bootloader, are you able to detect or update the custom XDS110 through Uniflash or CCS?  Or are there any other firmware binary options inside of C:\ti\ccs_base\common\uscif\xds110 for you to try?  Failure to reset the XDS110 indicates a USB connection error, which also could be while the firmware programming is failing and bricks the device.  You may need to review your schematic and layout for deficiencies.
