AM2732: Long range for cars detection along with AWR2243 cascaded design

Hi AM27x and AWR2243 Radar Champ

My customer would like to identify if TIDA-020047 solution based on AM2732R and AWR2243 cascaded array able to support 350m+ range for cars detection and 150m+ pedestrains detection use case.

Could you please let us know the SDK or example project based on TIDA-020047 for long range detection?

Hi Josh

The recommended solution is based on TDA2. Customer would like to get a solution with AM2732 (MCU+) based.

They would try these alternatives even it can not meet the expected result.

Please check if AM2732 MCU able to support long range car detection demo along with AWR2243 even the maximum distance can not be reached to their desired goal.

Jack - the AM2732 looks to be very similar to the AWR2944 with regards to compute capability. (both have C66 DSP and R5F MCUs inside) - so Seems feasible that the AM2732 should be able to handle one AWR2243. I think for the cascade solution, you would still need to use TDA2, though as the AWR2944 cannot be cascaded, like the AWR2243 can be.
