MSPM0L1306: Locking the device

Part Number: MSPM0L1306
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SYSCONFIG

Hi Team,

A customer has re-calibrated some of our devices for the correct Temp Sensor values. Now, they are looking to lock the device. In the past, I've seen locks set using the MSPFLASHER tool--is there something similar for the MSPM0?

Best,

-RT

  • Hello RT,

Locking the MSPM0 must be done via programming the NONMAIN memory.  The easiest way to do this is to use SysConfig project and add the NONMAIN section, which will offer all debug and locking options.  Once configured, the project/tool must be configured to erase and program NONMAIN.

NOTE:  It is possible to completely lock yourself out of parts by changing NONMAIN.  This may be the intention, but just be aware.

Take a look and let me know if you have any questions.  We have planned some future collateral to help guide us through this process but it's still in the early stages.  Hopefully the Sysconfig is fairly self explanatory.

    Thanks,

    JD
