AM2634: Pull-down resistor regarding QSPI Boot Mode setup

Part Number: AM2634

Hi AM2634 champ

One customer wants to use Quad Read Mode (QSPI).
By the way, will there be an issue with QSPI/SPI0 performance if the 1.01k resistor is pull-down connected without DIP SW on the corresponding SOP 4pins?
I wonder if I have to apply a switch or buffer. Please recommend a suitable solution.

Thanks.

  • Hi ,

You are choosing SPI (1S-1S-1S) Boot mode which will utilize only 1 line for data reads. My suggestion would be to use QSPI (1S-1S-4S) Boot mode to enable faster reads by ROM during the boot.

    Hope it helps.
