Hello,

We have a special scenario to change the PWM frequency to produce different haptic feedback profiles on the fly.

For example, our ECU need to support 4 different haptic feedback profiles which are having 4 different frequencies.

Is there any possibility to make this happen on the fly (during run time) with MSPM0L series microcontrollers?

Looking for your feedback on this.

As long as you have multiple timers sure, redo the timers clock conifg:

void	DL_Timer_setClockConfig (GPTIMER_Regs gptimer, DL_Timer_ClockConfig config)

Note that the timer probably has to be stopped to do this.

Hello,

Do you mean you want the 4 different frequencies all being output at the same time, in parallel, like what Keith mentioned? Or do you just need one PWM output that switches between 4 different base frequencies? I'm guessing you need the latter.

Only TIMG4 in the MSPM0L1305 supports shadow load registers for the Load and Compare registers to allow you to update the frequency and duty cycle at the zero events. This should allow you to update the PWM frequency on the fly while the timer continues to continuously run.
