I am not sure about your saying: the time before slot execution and the time after execution.

What does this time refer to?

Are you trying to get the time of a block of codes' execution time?

Or trying to capture a external signal's pluse width? (Since you are using function: DL_TimerG_getCaptureCompareValue).

Please give me more details.

SysTick might be a better timer to use for this, though it is a count down timer.

Enable system tick in syscfg first, and set the large enough Load value.

    //Calculate System Tick Read Cycles
    SysTickStr = SysTick->VAL;
    SysTickStp = SysTick->VAL;
    SysTickRd  = SysTickStr - SysTickStp;
    //Calculate:
    SysTickStr = SysTick->VAL;
    //User code Start

    //User code End
    SysTickStp = SysTick->VAL;
