Dear Champs,

What is maximum number of GPIOs can be possible in AM2434 MCU+ SDK?

Is it possible to assign 103 GPIOs in AM2434 MCU+ SDK?

When my customer tried to assign 103 GPIOs in AM2434 MCU+ SDK sysconfig, they faced an error as below.

Could you please help to assign 103 GPIOs through sysconfig?

They faced an error as below when they added 103 GPIOs.

Hello Sung-IL,

Unfortunately after the deeper discussions and learning I had today about this topic, I can say that a fix for this is not likely to come an imminent timeframe. It's a deeper rooted issue because a 'quick' fix would break backwards compatibility for users from a software standpoint so we can't just slap a quick fix onto it and be done without causing larger pain for users. That is why this has not been closed yet.

For the near term, please have the customer follow Nilabh's guidance.

I am not sure that I'll be able to provide more useful timeline details before the start of the year, you can follow up with me offline in Jan if you want the latest status.

Thanks for this information.

I can increase GPIO1 up to 88 easily, but still have a problem to increase over 87.

So, I think only problem is if both GPIO0 and GPIO1 can be alive and if sysconfig is supporting it.

When I tried, I can make increase the number of GPIOs up to 10 when both GPIO0 and GPIO1 used in sysconfig, but faced similar issue over 10.

In my case, Nilabh's guidance was not help.

Do you have any idea how both GPIO0 and GPIO1 can be used in sysconfig? Is there any thing needed to use both GPIO0 and GPIO1 in sysconfig?

Hello Sung-IL,

The latest feedback I got is that if customers save GPIO for the last thing to add to the SYSCONFIG then they will not face the issue. That would be the short-term workaround to this issue. Do you feel that this feedback is valid based on your experiences thus far?
