AM2732-Q1: 2 x AWR2243 cascading configs

Part Number: AM2732-Q1

Hello,

Refering to this document "www.ti.com/.../swra574b.pdf, In table 5 , i need to undrestand how to configure the "idle Time Dither" in my chirp/profile configs.

Regards

Amine

  • Hi Amine,

Idle time is basically the duration between two consecutive chirps. By default, it is 0 for all the chirps. But with idle time dither that you can set from CHIRP_CONFIG_API (param - idle time var) you can have variation in the idle time for that particular chirp.

With ChirpConfig_mult API in mmWave Studio(ver - 3.0.0.14) you can set the deviceIndex and idle time dither for cascade system. Mentioned idle time dither will be applied to the chirps from chirpStartIndex to chirpEndIndex for the device with mentioned deviceIndex.

    Thanks,

  • Hi

Please an additional question linked to cascading radar. Please does the mmwave demo from MCU PLUS SDK support multi profiling configurations ?

I'm starting working from this demo to support cascading radar (X2).

  • Hi,

Please does the mmwave demo from MCU PLUS SDK support multi profiling configurations ?

This mmwave demo is just a reference. It supports only streaming of data, that you can capture with DCA1000. Currently it only works with single profile. Otherwise you need to modify the demo code for supporting other functionalities and multiple profiling.

Refer to demo documentation for more details.

    Thanks,
