MSPM0L1306: I am facing issue in UART-LIN

Hi santhosh,

First of all, do you check RX line has the frame data when the host send the signal to the NVC7428, I want to make sure there is no issue with external component. Also with the EN-Enable signal.

As for the hardware connection, it seems no issue.

If I connect logic analyzer in TX pin will i able to see the frame?

why because I am not able see the frame

I connected Tx pin from MSP using usb to ttl in serial mode we not receiving any data

we need to connect any pull-up resistor?

we have any wakeup pin?

can you Please help me ASAP

It should be able to see the frame when you press the S1/S2 button in TX.

• To use UART on boosterpack connector:
  J17 2:3: Connects UART RX to J1_3
• To use UART on boosterpack connector:
  J16 2:3: Connects UART TX toJ1_4

After changing this jumper now I am able to observe frame in logic analzyzer.

now i have follow this connect right?

Connect the LIN Commander to a LIN BoosterPack with the following connections:

• Commander GND -> BoosterPack GND
• Commander LIN_ENABLE -> BoosterPack LIN_EN
• Commander TX -> BoosterPack UATX (LIN TX)   NVC7428-TX
• Commander RX -> BoosterPack UARX (LIN RX)  NVC7428-RX

Yes, you should connect the lin commander with NVC7428 EVM, and then you should connect the LIN bus with Network Analyzer to get frame.

Yes, to test lin module, MCU will output a high signal on enable pin, and then transmit the data in Tx/Rx line.

If you want use MCU reset LIN transcever, then you can connect a gpio which is set as Hi-Z ouput to RSTN.

It depends on how NVC7428 work, no relationship with MCU.

I am able to observe the LIN frame format in the scope, but when I connect to CANoe-LIN, the data enters sleep mode, and I don’t know why. Can you help me with this? ASAP

I am not familar with the ldf setting, sorry for not help much.

Here are my guesses：

Is the ldf setting correctly converted into a format that matches the code example frame header? If use commander example, according to readme.html, it should transmit first and then recieve the data.

You can check which state machine the routine stopped in debug mode to check the root cause.
