TMS570LS3137: I want to develop a bootloader firmware without F021 application note.

Hi,

I am working on a software which needs a bootloader. So I started to research how to develop a bootloader firmware with tms570ls3137. I find F021 documents and libraries whiches are so usefull general development. But I have to develop my software as bare metal so I cant use these libraries so much. After that I tried many times on bare metal firmware and i couldnt become success. Do you have any roadmap for me ?.

Also another question is i cant access registers from Advanced F021 Flash Erase/Program document. How can I access these registers?

Hello Jagadish, I already read this article. Can but its not helpful for me because I intended to ask how can I write data and address registers without any built in library?. With F021 application we can access these registers but when I tried to access by myself right now I cant.

Hi Furkan,

There is no special document for writing process of flash registers, we just need to follow the TRM only.

Can you please provide the code snippet of yours and explain me where exactly you are facing the issue with the screenshots then i can assist you on this.

I tried a code part like that. I accessed to flash but i couldnt become succeed to write proper data to flash memory. When I tried this code part all flash part which i wanted to write filled by zero.

I already shared my desire. I want to develop my software without F021 thats why ı struggled so much. This API have so many dependcy to .lib files. Such as some of registers used in F021 application are normally reserve registers so ı cant access these parts. Do you have any guidline or application note without F021. I have to develop my software as bare metal.

Hi Furkan,

Actually, you should need to do below process to write into the flash:

Fapi_initializeFlashBanks

Fapi_setActiveFlashBank

Fapi_enableMainBankSectors

After above three steps you should need to do programming command Fapi_issueProgrammingCommand.

But my observations is this, i don't see code related to the "Fapi_setActiveFlashBank" and also

"Fapi_enableMainBankSectors" you are doing this step very beginning before initializing or activating the flash.
