It does not power up. No lights. Voltages are  present ,

Need TI tech support to walk through with me and debug the boards.

Otherwise I must return them for replacement

Have you properly installed the J721EXSOMG01EVM on the J721EXCP01EVM?  What power supply are you using?  All boards are tested prior to shipping, so I do not expect a defective unit.

The design includes a fuse on the power input (F1).  Was it damaged?  There is a spare fuse included (F2), but I would not replace until we identify issue.

How do I connect J721EXSOMG01EVM  to my PC so I can see if it is working?

The EVM is not pre-programmed with any software.  You will need to download SDK on to SD card to boot.  If you have CCS installed, you can try to connect debugger to processor via the on-board XDS110.

OK which device I select and what cable I use between the host PC and the development board? Where on the development board I connect the interface cable?

The XDS110 emulator interface is USB connector (J3) on the base board.   When you select emulator type, make sure to select XDS110.  

Once the processor board is installed on the base board, power is connected, and power switch is enabled - do you see several GREEN power LEDs light up?  If yes - which ones?

I See:

The green Led next to J3 is on.

I am not sure how to create a boot image on SD card.

Is there an procedure I can follow?

When connecting micro USB cable from the board to the host PC, I get the above error.

I contacted FTDI and obtained latest drivers, and still fails.

Since the FTDI device is installed on your designed board, FDTI can't help any more.

Please help

Can you clarify which connector on the EVM you are connecting cable to PC?
