Hello,

I need 2 independent clock out signals with 25MHz to drive 2 PHYs in my board.

Can you suggest the possible CLKOUT pins for AM243x ALV?

Hi Chen,

CLKOUT0 (Pins on ALV: A19 and U13) can be used to drive the 2 PHYs.

The CLOCKOUT0 pin has a dedicated CTRLMMR_CLKOUT_CTRL register as described in the device TRM (AM243x TRM (Rev. E). Including screenshot below for reference.

To enable 25 MHz signal, Bit0 (CLK_SEL) should be set to 1, and Bit4 (CLK_EN) should be set to 1.

Hi Sahana,

May I confirm with you for the hardware connection?

CLKOUT0 (A19 pin) to XI pin (PHY1)
CLKOUT0 (U13 pin) to XI pin (PHY2)
