MSPM0L1306: Theia 1.20 debug will not start, remote server error

Can you try deleting the following folders and trying again?

[USER HOME]\AppData\Local\Texas Instruments\CCS\.ccs-server
[USER HOME]\AppData\Local\Texas Instruments\CCS\[CCS THEIA INSTALL FOLDER NAME]
[USER HOME]\AppData\Local\Texas Instruments\CCS\TICloudAgent

Here is additional background.  I am trying to develop on my Mac and test on a Windows lab machine both running Theia 1.20.  The project files transferred between the two via Git repository on a 3rd machine.  I can build and debug on the Mac.  I can build the project on the Windows machine, but get this error when I try to load code and debug.

Thank you for the additional information. It is interesting that is is working on Mac but not on Windows. Are both Windows and Mac on the same local network?

Both machines are on the same local network.

Can you completely uninstall your existing Theia 1.2.0 installation (and delete any leftover files/folders) and then delete all the same cache folders I mentioned earlier? Then re-download the Theia 1.2.0 install image and install it again.

I finally had time to re-install.  No luck.  The Windows install now has even less functionality.  When I try to build the project it says the MSPM0 SDK is not installed.  The box for the MSPM0 SDK was checked in the setup process.

I do get one error / warning during setup.  I could not copy the text, but I did grab a screenshot:

Very cryptic.  I don't really even see any terms to search for.

It looks like your user name has whitespaces in it. This can be an issue:

In this case it looks like whitespace is causing issues with the TI Cloud Agent.

Is this the same account you were using before when you ran into the proxy error?

Could you try using an account without whitespace (and any non-alphanumeric) characters?

Yes, this is the same machine.

Is there any way to redirect the installation away from the users home directory?

It isn't difficult to change the user name, but it appears more difficult to change the name of the home directory.  Seems like this could produces cascading issues.

Adding a user just for this application is also sub-optimal.

Agreed. CCS needs to handle whitespaces and unicode characters better. We are looking to improve this in CCS Theia down the road.
