AM2634: Access to safety data denied?

Part Number: AM2634

I submitted a request for access to the safety manuals for the AM2634 series and just got an email that the request was denied with no information as to why and no contact to follow up with.  How am I supposed to evaluate the capabilities of the controller from a functional safety standpoint without access to the safety work products? We are evaluating several options for MCUs for our next generation safety platform hardware, but its going to be hard to consider TI without this data.

  • Hi Nathan,

The reason you were denied was because you don't have an NDA with TI. We have required an NDA to view all advanced AM263x safety documentation (FMEDA, safety manual, etc.) as they haven't been completely finalized. The good news is that although you were denied this morning, as of about 30 minutes ago I am now allowed to approve all AM263x customers without an NDA. I will go ahead and grant you access. Apologies for this.

  • Hi Sutton,

Thanks for your reply.  I'd be happy to get an NDA signed if that makes things smoother.  It doesn't surprise me to need one, but that wasn't offered as an option.  Anyway, I'm looking forward to reviewing the docs.

    Thanks,

    Nathan

  • Hi Nathan,

It actually won't be necessary moving forward. You will be prompted to agree to an automatic "click-wrap" NDA, in lieu of a standard NDA directly with our law department. Your case was just bad luck by matter of requesting access a mere 5 hours too early Slight smile. Thanks for understanding!
