Recommended external flash memory for AM68A92A.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SK-AM69, AM68A

Hello.
I started doing the design for the AM68A92A. But several questions arose.
One of the most important is that I did not find a list of recommended flash memory for this controller.
I am interested in the possibility of using flash memory to host Linux. And the memory used in the demo board has 512 MB, which is not enough.
Are there any resources where I can get this information?

Best regards.

  • What type of memory and density are you needing?  The SK-AM69 EVM supports an eMMC memory (32GB, Micron MTFC32GAZAQHD-IT), and is also supported by the AM68A device.  Its a standard interface (and software driver) - so I think most EMMC 5.1 Compliant memory devices should work.

  • Hello
Thanks for the answer. MTFC32GAZAQHD-IT TR looks good.
I have not worked with AM68A before. But I've had a pretty bad experience with some Chinese controllers where everything seems to work, but some memory chips won't work with it. That's why I'm trying to find a list of recommended memory chips.
