AM2434: IBIS model's USB is NC

Part Number: AM2434

Hi team,

Customer plans simulation as they will use an AM2434 USB. At IBIS model of the AM2434, the USB is NC and customer can only set as the input on the simulation tool. If they use this pin as a driver, what would be the correct pin setting?

Best regards,

Hayashi

  • Hello,

I am looking into this and will get back to you in a couple of days. We currently have not released the IBIS AMI models for USB2 on AM243x.

Can you please confirm if you are using the AM243 ALX package?

    Thank you,

    Anita

  • Hi Anita,

    Yes, ALX. Any updates?

How can customer set at this moment when using USB2 communication?

    Regards,

    Hayashi

  • Hello Hayashi-san,

We've made some progress on this but are waiting for some inputs from engineers who are out of office currently. We should be able to provide something once they return following Jan 2nd.

  • Hello Hayashi-san,

Thank you deeply for your kind patience on this topic.

I'm providing a zip file with two elements to it. One is an installer for a package that includes the IBIS-AMI models for the USB2.0 IP used for AM243. This was originally released under another AM6x device but is applicable for AM243. The other file is the USB Package Model for AM243 ALX. Using these together should allow the customer to simulate the USB2 module for AM243 ALX.

    AM243_USB2_IBIS_AMI.zip

The SPMA765 zip file has the installer for IBIS-AMI models. If installed with default pathing, then the IBIS models will be found under C:\Program Files (x86)\SPRM765-1.0\source_models\AMI_models\USB2\IBIS

The .s4p file is the USB Package Model.

We'll look to getting these combined together in a package for TI.com moving forward.

If the customer has any issues with using these, please let us know so we can help resolve them.

    Best Regards,

    Ralph Jacobi
